Practical tip: two audits side by side – the catalogue comparison
One of the strongest features in IMS-Audit Cloud is also one of the least known: the catalogue comparison. Instead of laying two audit reports side by side, you put the question catalogue of your current audit directly next to that of any other audit – question by question, in a split view.
How it works
- Open the question catalogue in the audit and click “Compare with another audit” in the toolbar.
- Pick the comparison audit from the list – you are completely free: last year’s audit of the same site, an audit of another site, or the audit of another supplier.
- The view splits: the current audit on the left, the comparison audit on the right – each with question, answer, and rating.
Next to every rating, a trend arrow shows the development: green up for better, red down for worse, grey sideways for unchanged.
Why the comparison is reliable
Questions are matched automatically via their origin in the master catalogue – even if the catalogues were reordered in the meantime. And questions that exist in only one of the two audits are flagged instead of silently dropped. Comparison mode is a pure view: nothing is rated or changed in it.
The benefit in everyday work
In the follow-up audit you see immediately whether last year’s actions worked – that is the proof of effectiveness every standard requires, without manual work. In the same way, two sites or two suppliers can be compared objectively using the same catalogue.
