New in IMS-Audit Cloud: September 2026
Quite a lot has been added to IMS-Audit Cloud since our last update – above all in the audit question catalogue, in planning and in document control. Here is an overview of what is new.
Chinese as the eighth language
IMS-Audit Cloud can now be used in Simplified Chinese – as before via the language switch in the sidebar or the language set on the person. The entire user interface and the PDF reports are translated. The interface is now available in eight languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Czech and Chinese.
Audit question catalogue: documents on questions and cross-references
Evidence can now be attached directly to a question – by drag & drop from Explorer onto the question row, via the “Documents” section of the edit dialogue or via the context menu. Questions with attachments show a paperclip icon with a counter. If an action is raised from the question, it shows those documents in its “Documents” tab as links – never as copies.
There are also cross-references between questions (“See also”): in the edit dialogue of a question you link other questions from the same catalogue, optionally with a short note. In the catalogue editor and in the audit question catalogue the references appear as small chips with the number of the target question; one click jumps there. It is the question itself that is linked, not its number – the references stay correct after renumbering and travel along automatically when a catalogue is duplicated or loaded into an audit.
Audit schedule: save and load templates
A proven schedule can be saved with Save as template under its own name – with all days, times, durations, process references and participants. Load template lists all templates of the company; when loading, the first day of the template lands on the start date of the audit, processes are reused or created, and auditors and contacts are taken over where they are assigned to the audit. The existing schedule can be extended or replaced.
Calendar: “My audits” filter
Next to the category buttons of the calendar there is a new switch, My audits: when enabled, the month, year and list views show only the audits where the signed-in person is part of the audit team – the same definition as the “Mine” quick filter in the audit overview. Actions, tasks, qualifications and test equipment are not affected.
Document control: read confirmations
The document dialogue has a new Read confirmations tab. Users with approval rights ask selected users there to acknowledge the valid revision; everyone asked receives a notification and confirms with “Read and understood” when opening the document. The acknowledgement is documented with person and timestamp, the responses per revision can be viewed at any time, and anyone outstanding can be reminded again. Once a new revision is approved later, the system requests acknowledgement from all previous recipients again automatically.
Action overview: export for Jira
Companies that manage their issues in Jira Cloud export the open actions as a CSV file and create them as issues with Jira’s built-in import. The columns carry the names of the Jira fields (Summary, Description, Priority, Due Date, Assignee, Labels, Status), so the import wizard maps them automatically; action number, audit, site, owner and progress are included as additional columns. The button sits next to the Excel export.
Test equipment management: import in one go
The German module name changed at the end of August to “Prüfmittelmanagement” (in English it has always been called test equipment management). The Excel import of existing inventories now creates all valid rows in one go instead of row by row; for large lists this is considerably faster, and the result per row stays the same.
Create audit: address and audit type directly in the dialogue
In the “Create audit” and “Edit audit” dialogues, a plus button next to the “Audited area” field opens the address dialogue from the master data; after saving, the new address is selected immediately. The same applies to the audit type. The detour via the master data is no longer necessary.
People: “Send login details”
If a person already has a login but has never received a password – for example users taken over from IMS-Audit Desktop – the person dialogue now offers Send login details: the person receives the welcome email with login address, user name and an initial password that must be changed at the first login.
Audit overview opens faster
The result column of the audit overview is now calculated directly in the database rather than from all questions and answers of every audit. For companies with many audits the overview opens noticeably faster – with an identical result. The same applies to the audit overview report, the Excel export and the KPIs of the management review.
All new features are available automatically – no update is required. You will find details on the modules under Features, or see what is new live in a meeting.
