Quality manual: the living manual, controlled chapter by chapter
A quality manual describes how your organisation runs its management system – from the quality policy through processes and responsibilities to audits and improvement. For employees, new colleagues and the certification auditor it is often the starting point; ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 explicitly require one. In IMS-Audit Cloud you write the manual directly in the program and maintain it chapter by chapter: if only the quality policy changes, only that one chapter goes through approval. The approved version is always the binding one, the revision index maintains itself – and with the read link the whole workforce can read along, without a user account.
What Quality Manual offers
How it works in practice
The quality manager adds new sustainability goals to the quality policy: editing creates revision 2 as a draft, while revision 1 remains valid. Top management approves it, and the change note appears in the revision index automatically. Nothing needs to be redistributed – the workforce reads the manual via the read link on the intranet and sees the new version straight away. And when the certification auditor wants to see the manual, it goes out as a PDF with table of contents and revision index.
